About the Event
Gather your props and settle in for an evening restorative yoga practice. This practice will take place on the new moon, a time for resetting and new beginnings. Restorative yoga is a practice of being, rather than doing. Judith Lasater explains that restorative yoga asks us: what does it mean to be at ease (with our bodies, our minds, etc.)? And from there, in a larger sense, what does it mean to be 'at ease' in our lives? The unique thing about our modern lives is that we often have unrelenting stress as part of our daily existence. Stress inherently is not a bad thing but when it persists and we don't utilize the tools we have and make intentional shifts, it becomes a chronic thing. This might have a lot to do with our relationship with time. Many of us feel like there is never enough time... and therefore, busyness becomes our way of life. RESTORATIVE YOGA is one way to confront this way of living and to sink in to experience what it feels like to be LIGHTER, to be MORE SPACIOUS and to BE PRESENT.
